EXPERIENCE

T H E H U M A N S I D E O F T H E G A M E

Raising an athlete asks things of you no one really prepares you for. You may not know exactly what you need yet, but you know you love your child deeply, this world can feel like a lot, and you want to get it right.

Take a breath, stay a while, and let’s figure it out together.

THE ATHLETE

What they’re navigating.

THE PARENT

What it awakens in you.

THE SPACE BETWEEN

Where connection is built.

Keep seeing them. Keep learning them. Keep loving them there. | Love, Heather

Most people have met me through the photos I’ve taken. But what happened behind them changed my life.

Over the years, a camera gave me access to so much more than the game itself. It brought me close to the athletes, the families, the coaches, the challenging moments, the celebrations, and the parts of this world most people never get to see.

The more I witnessed, the more I realized the photos were only part of the story. What I was really being trusted with was a deeper understanding of the people inside the game and what this experience was asking of them.

That changed the way I saw my work. It changed the way I understood my own son. And eventually, it changed what I knew I was here to build.

Come learn a little more about the story behind The Heather Experience.

Hi, i’m Heather!

A gift from Heather. Something you can use tonight.

The Car Ride Home

When you're in it, the last thing you need is another late night Google search for answers, or wondering if you're the only one who doesn't know how this world works or what to say. I've walked this journey, and I've written it all down, conversation by conversation along the way, so it's waiting here for you whenever you’re ready.

This first one is my gift to you, and it's the one that helped me the most. This is the first conversation. There's a whole journey of them on the way, and I'd love to walk the rest of it with you too.

Inside The Car Ride Home you’ll find:

  • Simple ways to make the ride feel safe again

  • What to say (and what not to say) in that first quiet minute

  • Why silence isn't always a bad sign

  • A personal letter from me, to you, for when you need a friend
